Ingredients
- 1 Leftover One Crust Pie Dough
- 3 Tbs Honey (52.94 g)
- 2 Tbs Strawberry Jam (42.95 g)
- 2 Tsp Mint leaves, finely chopped dried (1.5 g)
- 1 Tsp Cloves, ground (2.5 g)
Instructions
- Mix together all of the ingredients except the pie dough.
- Roll out the leftover dough into a rectangle.
- On half of the dough rectangle, spread and press out enough of the filling to make a thin layer, leaving about ½” of uncovered dough around the edges.
- Fold over the uncovered side of the dough, roll up the edges, and press them together to create a seal.
- Place the hand pie onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- Cut slashes into the top of the hand pie. A lot of venting is needed to manage steam from the filling.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (176 degrees C). Bake for 35 minutes. (Optional: Using a pastry brush, apply an egg wash to the pastry half way through baking.)
- Cool completely.
